Franklin "John" Plummer

June 1, 1937 - June 12, 2017

Franklin Isaac “John” Plummer passed away at Mercy Hospital Aurora on June 12, 2017 at 8:45 PM after a short and unexpected illness. Franklin was born to Hugh L. Plummer and Grace Parker on June 1, 1937 in Rock Creek Township, Butler County, Kansas. Devoted Husband to recently deceased Julia Ann “Judy” Plummer. Best father in the world to Joann Plummer (deceased), Robert Davenport (deceased), Johnea Reynolds and Bill, Diana Aldridge-Wentz, Christy Foos, Darla Atchley and Craig and Lisa Schade and Jeremy. Beloved Papa to Mandi, Billy, Derrick, Billy, Aubriawna, Amberel, Julie, Jill, Johnny, Parker, Landon, Hollan, Tristan, Heaven, Boaz, Storie, Judah and Faron. Great Grandpa to many. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Julia Ann Plummer, brothers- Kenneth and Charles, Sister- Marylou, daughter-Joann Plummer and his only son, Robert Davenport. Franklin “John” was a gardener, caregiver, inventor, and wrote children’s books, many poems and country songs that were copyrighted and recorded. Franklin managed and started many successful businesses. He had a Midas touch. He was a restaurant owner, built beautiful homes and worked hard his entire life. He did not know a stranger and all of those that came in contact with him felt immediately loved by Frank. Most of all, he loved his Lord, his soulmate-Judy and family and cared deeply for all those he shared himself with. He will be sorely missed by those that loved him and called him “friend”. ‘From your fine country roots to your fatherly boots, HANES headbands remembered- a garden well-tended, strength of a lion while his wife was dying, love and compassion being his entire life’s passion. –J.S.’
