Phyllis Louise Carder

October 18, 1939 - August 27, 2021

Phyllis Louise Carder, age 81, of Monett, MO passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021, at her home in Monett, MO. She was born in Pioneer, MO on Wednesday, October 18, 1939. She was the daughter of John and Seraphine (Hagedorn) Renkoski. Mrs. Carder was a 1957 graduate of Pierce City High School. On February 27, 1960, she married Francis "Hank" Carder, and he preceded her in death on April 12, 2005. Mrs. Carder was a homemaker for many years, worked in home healthcare a few years, and ran a business along with her husband. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, collecting antiques, and watching birds. Mrs. Carder was a wonderful cook, and everyone enjoyed eating at her house. She loved time with her family and very much enjoyed her grandchildren. Surviving are the following: six children, Greg Carder of Monett, MO, Doug and wife Tonya Carder of Monett, MO, Sheila Carder of Monett, MO, Brian Carder of Monett, MO, Kristy and husband Chad Cole of Monett, MO, and Amber Carder of Springfield, MO; one sister, Janice and husband Harold Fenske of Joplin, MO; three sisters-in-law, Donna Chapman of Carlinville, IL, Maebel Renkoski of Monett MO, and Annibel Morris of Wentworth, MO; thirteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends. Mrs. Carder was preceded in death by her parents, John and Seraphine; her husband, Francis; and a brother, Phillip Renkoski. Prayer Services and Rosary will be at Lakin Funeral Home, in Pierce City, MO on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, beginning at 6:00 PM. Visitation will follow until 8:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pierce City, MO on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, beginning at 10:30 AM with Father Matt Rehrauer officiating. Burial will follow at the Pierce City Cemetery in Pierce City, MO. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO.
