Patricia M. Volnor, age 88, of Stotts City, MO died on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Mercy Hospital Joplin in Joplin, MO. Mrs. Volnor was born in Ruma,IL on Sunday, October 12, 1924. She was the daughter of Harold and Helen (Myercough) Scott. Patricia Scott married Golden Volner on March 15, 1943, and he preceded her in death on December 12, 1990. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pierce City, MO. Surviving are the following: six daughters, Ruth Ward of Pierce City, MO, Theresa Thurman of Mount Vernon, MO, Geraldine Rash of Holberg, MO, Rita Munday of Exeter, MO, Sue Ajtaji of Camdenton, MO, and Janet Tuttle of Stotts City, MO; one son, David Volnor of Aurora, MO; seventeen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. Mrs Volner was preceded in death by two sons and one daughter, Jesse Volnor, Harold Volnor, and Helen Contey. The family will receive friends at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Funeral mass will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pierce City, MO on Wednesday, April 17, 2013, beginning at 11:00 AM with Father Peter J. Morciniec officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Pierce City, MO.
