James Walter Schmitt, age 76, of Mount Vernon, MO died on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at his home. Mr. Schmitt was born in St. Louis, MO on Monday, March 27, 1944. He was the son of the late Walter and Sylvia (Hill) Schmitt. Mr. Schmitt was self-employed as a property manager. Surviving is his sister, Sylvia Corbin, of Springfield, MO. Mr. Schmitt has been cremated at his request and services will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO.
